Design Inspiration

When I cook, I'll sometimes look at recipes that sounded appealing or I'll think about something I ate at a friend's or a night out. But I typically modify the recipe, or stray from the idea based on my personal preferences (for 4 times the garlic and spices called for) or based on how much I don't want to go to the store to buy an onion. There isn't just one way of doing anything, and chances are, if you don't modify the recipe, it won't taste quite the way you want it to.

This is the mentality I'm bringing to my camper-car renovation. I have my own specific needs that can't be 100% met by a tutorial on YouTube and I'm committed to properly addressing all my needs when building my platform.

Here's an overview of my design process:

Though I'm not an engineer, I think think like one. If a system seems inefficient, or a need is going unmet, I have a hard time sitting still until I start working to fix it. The way I pack up haphazardly for adventures, forget things, and come back with a filthy car is a clear indicator that this is a perfect project for me to jump into.
